Friend and Lover is two different thing. A friend can be a lover, but, a lover cannot be a friend, sometimes.

Some couple call each other "My true lover and My true friend"
"My true lover", because it touches our heart.
"My true friend", because it reaches our hand.

If the lover comes between you and your true friend: it is normal to experience feelings of abandonment, jealousy, anger, resentment - among other negative emotions.
